Associate Consultants

Who is Aston Tsui?

After doing everything I could have possibly done to be competitive for the most selective schools in the UC system, I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to attend UCLA from 2005-2009, graduating with a major in psychology and a minor in education.

Following my college career, I worked in public schools in Japan through the JET program, private educational companies such as Kaplan, English training centers, and eventually discovered that my skills and interests were an ideal fit for me to serve as an educational consultant.

In my three years as an educational consultant and a counselor at international schools, my students have obtained admissions offers from UC Berkeley, UCLA, Cornell, University of Wisconsin Madison, Carnegie Mellon University, Pepperdine, Bard University, Oberlin, Wake Forest, UNC Chapel Hill, and many other colleges across the country.

I thoroughly enjoy working with students on the application process because the personal statement is a great opportunity for self-expression and to distinguish oneself from the rest of the applicant pool. While content is most important, flow, diction, syntax, structure, and mechanics are all essential as well. He hopes that through this process, the student can become more self-aware, develop essential writing skills, and present himself or herself to the schools as effectively as possible. He hopes that he can be an effective guide and provide excellent service throughout the process.
